NEET UG 2024 Exam Date, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria & Fee

The National Testing Agency has officially announced the date for the NEET UG 2024 Exam, which will be administered on May 5, 2024, in offline mode using an OMR sheet. A few weeks prior to the exam date, students who wish to apply for admission to MBBS or BDS programs at various private and public universities in India may register. The National Testing Agency has formally announced the exam date for the National Eligibility Completion Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024. A large number of students who plan to take the NEET UG 2023 to be admitted to MBBS or BDS are advised that they will be able to apply online shortly after the release of the application form.

NEET UG 2024 Registration

When it is officially made available at https://neet.nta.nic.in/, candidates who wish to register for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2023 may do so through the webportal. One needs simply to submit their Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email Address, etc. to complete registration and receive their Application Number and Password.

Eligibility criteria for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2024 in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.

Educational Qualification – One must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate )with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
Age Limit – An individual age must be at least 17 years as of 31st December 2024.

Note: General category candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in Intermediate and those who belong to OBC, SC, ST or PWD, he or she need only 40% score in the Intermediate exam

NEET UG 2024 Application Fee

The National Testing Agency has already announced the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) 2024. The examination fee is Rs. 1700 for candidates in the General category. Candidates who fall under the general-EWS and OBC-NCL categories must pay Rs. 1600, while those who fall under the SC, ST, PH, and third gender categories must only pay Rs. 1000.

NEET UG 2024 Exam Pattern

In the NEET UG 2023 exam, which will be administered offline, 200 multiple-choice questions from the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology (zoology and botany) will be presented. However, each test-taker will only be required to answer 180 of these questions. Each question will carry four marks, and there will also be a provision for a negative marking system, which will subtract one mark for each erroneous answer. Each person’s exam will last for three hours and twenty minutes; PH candidates will receive an extension.
