Monsieur Spade Season 1 Coming Soon to AMC: Sam Spade is back in action with the debut of Monsieur Spade, a brand-new AMC series. The legendary detective who stole the show in Dashiell Hammett’s 1930 novel The Maltese Falcon and is now retired and living in Southern France is called back to work after a group of nuns are murdered.

The series quickly rose to the top of Netflix’s list of most watched series in approximately sixty-three countries after only four weeks of availability. Since there is little likelihood that Monsieur Spade will return for a second season, co-creator Scott Frank will be bringing the program to our televisions.

Spade lives a peaceful life in Bozouls, a dramatic contrast to his days as a private detective in San Francisco. But it is rumored that when his old rival reappears, things will be different. Six cherished nuns have been brutally slain at the nearby convent.
