What’s particularly interesting is that the home purchase was funded by a sizable loan of $615,000 from Shady Games, Inc., with Marshall Mathers, Eminem’s legal name, listed as the company’s president, treasurer, and secretary.
Kim, a mother of four, had reportedly paid for the extravagant custom-built property she had resided in for many years. This estate had a huge 12,000 square foot living area and was situated on a private three-acre site. She did, however, sell this stately home for $1,350,000 in March earlier this year. Three of her children seem to have departed the house after the relocation to a smaller residence.
One of Kim’s kids is her 30-year-old adopted daughter Aliana, whose mother, Kim’s sister Dawn Scott, tragically died in 2016 after battling drug addiction. Hailie Jade, Kim and Eminem’s 27-year-old daughter, is one of their children. In addition, the rapper reared Stevie Laine, 21, a non-binary adult child from a prior relationship.
After years of avoiding the spotlight, Kim made a rare appearance this month, sporting short blonde hair and a sizable collection of tattoos. She was Eminem’s first love when they were young, and their romance has been fraught with ups and downs.
The couple was married from 1999 to 2001, and at that time Kim filed a defamation lawsuit against Eminem because of the song’s violent lyrics, “Kim.” They ultimately reached a settlement outside of court, made amends, and even got remarried in 2006—only to divorce once more a year later.
Eminem apologized for how he treated Kim in the song “Bad Husband” from his 2017 album “Revival.” Kim is given an apology in the lyrics: “We brought out the worst.”
EM’S APOLOGY
Kim embarked on a new chapter in her life, settling into her new home, following a particularly tough year in 2022. The year had been marred by the loss of her beloved mother, Kathy Sluck, in July, who had been living at her mansion as her health declined.
Devastated by her mother’s passing, Kim faced an overwhelming emotional struggle and attempted to take her own life the day after the funeral. She was discovered by one of her children and promptly rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, she made a recovery and was able to return home.
In a recent interview with The U.S. Sun, Kim revealed that she is now in a much healthier place and has remained clean since her stay in rehab late last year, where she had sought help for her sleeping pill dependency.
When asked about her current well-being, she shared, “It’s been hard, I lost my mom, my dad, and my sister [over the past 10 years]. But I’m good. I’ve been clean since about October, I went to Jefferson House … for 45 days.”
Kim expressed her gratitude for her children’s unwavering support during this challenging period. While she is now on medication to aid her recovery, she chose not to delve further into the details of her situation.
