According to Ed Sheeran, he performed unannounced pop-up concerts in the homes of his fans while recording a live version of his next album Autumn Variations. Each song is recorded in a different fan’s living room, but everything was a pure surprise, Sheeran wrote on Instagram.

We arrived at @kariconaway’s house at the end of the day, and I instantly knew it was going to be a good one, the singer said in a video of him singing an earlier song at a fan’s home. Initially, they had cats, friendship bracelets, and some fruit beverages. However, after playing the song about Autumn, I requested a tour, and when I entered her room, I discovered a piano. I declined when she asked if I could play, but I do occasionally sing along to “Wake Me Up,” so I’m doing it here for any Plus fans out there.

Added he. The official CD for The Fan Living Room Live Autumn Variations will be released on September 29. Go ahead and preorder, legends.”

Sheeran teased these unexpected appearances in a TikTok earlier this month. Coming soon: surprise pop-ups to record something special in fans’ homes, he said. P.S. I liked your kitties.

On September 29, Sheeran will make Autumn Variations available through Gingerbread Man Records. Enigma Variations, an orchestral composition by composer Edward Elgar written between October 1898 and February 1899, served as the inspiration for the album, which was composed by Aaron Dessner. Each of the 14 pieces was inspired by a different person in Elgar’s life. The notion was first explained to Sheeran by his father and brother, and he saw it as a suitable outlet to repackage the disclosures that came out in those chats with his pals.

“Aaron Dessner and I chemistry was instantaneous when we recorded Subtract. We continuously wrote and recorded, and this album is the result of our collaboration, according to Sheeran. “I think he has so beautifully captured the feeling of autumn in his sonics, and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do,” the speaker said.

The album was released soon after Sheeran’s sixth studio album, Subtract, which came out in May. fall Variations will be released on the first day of fall, one week after the singer’s Mathematics global tour wraps off in North America.
